Operable wall SPACE consists of a self-supporting frame of aluminium and steel. These have been fitted with insulation that helps to achieve high sound-insulating scores. The individual partitions themselves are generally constructed using 16 to 19mm thick chipboard, along with synthetic finishes. Total thickness depends on exactly how soundproof the partition has to be.
The rail system and its suspension to the ceiling are fitted with insulation materials as well. This ensures that sound won’t go over the operable wall.
SPACE’s separate panels can be set up in no time. The partitions have an internal framework with centric, quarter turn controls. One quick turn of the lever and the panel stands firmly in its place.
The rail system is almost entirely silent and can be placed in a suspended ceiling system. Each individual partition is fitted with bearing-based wheels, thereby making ground-level guiding systems unnecessary.
